The Nurburgring Nordschliefe is one of the most famous stretches of race track in the world. Consisting of 12.9 miles of tarmac winding its way through the German countryside. The track is open to the public as well as car manufactures who perform many tests around the track- giving their car a benchmark time to compare and contrast against others. The lap record dates back to 1983 with an impressive time of 6:11.13 set by the late great Stefan Bellof. Remember the best lap is not necessarily the fastest.
Highlights of Bellof's record breaking lap of 6:11.13 in 1983 which still stands today with an average speed of over 200km/h.
