9) North Sea oil platformThis is the world biggest matchstick model built by retired oil ril worker David Reynolds. It took David 15 years and an estimated 32,000 hours to built this replica at a cost of £5000 for matchsticks and glue. The model weights in at 1 tonne with dimensions of 12ft by 21ft long. So you ask yourself how many matchsticks were used? The answer being in excess of 4million. |
