If you are nervous about lifts this illusion certainly wont help things!

Move your eyes around, even though they appear to move - these figures are static. It would not be much of an illusion if they really moved.

How do they do that?

We know they are the same length but we don't know why!

Coming or going?

The two faces are perceived as male and female. However, both faces are actually versions of the same androgynous face. One face was created by increasing the contrast of the androgynous face, while the other face was created by decreasing the contrast. The face with more contrast is perceived as female.

The two images of the Leaning Tower are identical, yet one has the impression that the tower on the right leans more, as if photographed from a different angle. Winner of the Best Visual Illusion of the Year Contest 2007.

Am I seeing double? If only I could just focus.

Rollers appear to rotate without effort. On the other hand, they appear to rotate in the opposite direction when observers see this image keeping blinking.

Where did they go?
