This piece consists of around 50,000 matches which have each individualy been glued to a glass fibre mold taking an estimated 500 hours. This head sold for £18,000.

Built by Michael Arndt over the period of 6 years this full life size replica of the McLaren consists of 956,000 matchsticks and 1686 tubes of glue. Arndt estimes the car cost around 6,000 euros.

This is the world biggest matchstick model built by retired oil ril worker David Reynolds. It took David 15 years and an estimated 32,000 hours to built this replica at a cost of £5000 for matchsticks and glue. The model weights in at 1 tonne with dimensions of 12ft by 21ft long. So you ask yourself how many matchsticks were used? The answer being in excess of 4million.
